Chinese New Year 2021

Time flies once again and its been more than 7 months I last updated in this blog. The Covid-19 situation in Singapore are much better compared to many countries around us. We are still able to live pretty normal life except that tourist are still not able to enter Singapore, thus affecting our economy.

This Chinese New Year, we are not able to gather the whole family together due to the 8 pax visitors rules and we did not visit Ah Kor or Ah Ma this year. Reunion dinner is quieter without Sister with us this year.

The boys are getting harder to control as they conveniently pretend not to hear us when we gives instructions or simply complain when we ask them to do something. Fights and whining are still constant daily affair and we always have to think of creative ways to teach them.

Josiah is now 117cm and 20.6kg. I was surprised with this weight just to see the figure 2 now. Some things that I'm concerned is that he is slightly less flexible in learning and tends to give up easily when he finds things difficult. The focus level is not that high too and affect his learning. I won't say that these are bad, just that he is very much like myself and I'm seeing his traits in me. Whenever I see him, I think I saw myself and its always a good reminder that I should not give up doing what I want so easily, be more confident and be more focus. This is something I really hope he can learn too in future too.

Joshua is now 106cm and 17kg. He is small but agile and adapted at learning. But he can be quite stubborn if he insist on his own ways. However, I think his EQ is quite high and knows quite well who is angry and who is not. He is a natural checker player. He won me in many games and I often got tricked by him. However what I worry about him is his honesty as he somethings able to tell lies without a blink of eye. Really got to teach him well about all these.

The challenge nowadays is also to teach them to walk in the way of the Lord. They don't seems to have the patience whenever I talk to them about God or when we are praying together. As they gets older, I'm expecting more challenging questions from him about God.

Now they are 6 years old, we are still thinking what enrichment classes we should send them to in order to be better prepared for primary 1 next year. Maths, Music, Abacus, Swimming? Really not sure... Anyway, hope they continue to love each other and have a clear sense that they are brothers and will always be good brothers to help each other regardless what happens in future.
