Felin's ex-colleagues visited the babies on Saturday. The babies had a good sleep prior their arrival and hence they behaved really well and had fun with our guest today. We initially planned to go back Malaysia over the weekend but I told her that I potentially have a client's appointment and that Ann may need to take leave on Sunday that she changed her mind and decide to return on Monday alone. I couldn't join her as I again potentially have another meeting on Monday which again wasn't confirmed yet. The problem about my job is when meetings sometimes cannot be confirmed only at the very last minute.
The guests was with us from 1pm to 4pm and the babies went back to sleep exactly at 4pm while they helped entertain the babies for 3 hours. Joshua is really very talkative nowadays and he kept making a lot of funny sound when playing. He really made us laugh so much at times. But when he is moody, his face gets grumpy too.
I didn't really have a good sleep last night as Joshua kept waking up and I need to pacify him back to sleep. I counted that I woke up about 4 times between 2am to 5am. My proper sleep resume only when Felin woke up to express milk. Just to show what I fed my babies every 12:30am daily. I will cook the rice powder for about 5-6 minutes before putting about 50ml of it into the milk bottle and add water to 140ml. Together with about 4.5 scoop of milk, they will get about 155ml of milk. The babies have a habit of leaving the final 5-15ml and hence they normally will drink 140ml to 150ml. This feed will last them till about 6:30am every morning before Ann feed them. The rice powder are supposed to help them sleep better.
Still unsure whether to go for the Suntec baby fair tomorrow after church because my work appointment is not confirmed. We intend to look for the baby photography packages there and deals are likely better during fairs. Well, shall see how it goes tomorrow... Really tired now and got to Zzz...
So often we heard from the woman sharing about their pregnancy and motherhood experiences but how often do we hear from the man's side? Twins will give us twice the joy, love, laughters and hugs but twice the anxieties as well. I am using this platform to share my experience over the 9 months journey, my experiences as a Daddy and record what I want to tell my Children. This blog writes largely about them and is written specially for them.

Time Flies
Time just flew so quickly when Felin and I are both busy with work. I'm still leaving for work every morning with some reluctant as I miss the babies.
We are currently researching on the photography package for the babies. We like to take some nice studio or outdoor shots of the babies when they are about 8-9 months old. Josiah need a little bit more time in order to sit really still. Hope we can get a good economical package soon.
Prior writing this post, Felin and I just had a slight argument over what time we should feed the babies at night. I prefer 12am to 1am while she prefer before 12am. My preference is due to their usual last feed which is 9pm to 10pm and I feel any feed before 12am is bit too early. Sometimes Joshua slept at as late as 10:30pm and if I am to wake him up before 12am, its a bit too short for him. I prefer that he sleep longer before I feed him. As for Felin's stand, she prefer that we do not cultivate a habit for them that they need to drink at midnight. They must be better trained to sleep through from latest 12am to 6am. Well... I'm still in control of this shift and I have the call for the moment though she disagree with me.
Felin parents came over to our place on Sunday as Ann was on Sunday leave. Its officially her first off day after nearly 5 months. Glad that extra hands was around that we aren't caught off-guard without the helper.
The babies are getting adorable and we are simply enjoying their max cuteness. Josiah still smile sweetly at us everyday and Joshua still as playful and sharp. Joshua's teeth can be felt as at 7m12d and he gets quite cranky at night. It was on Sunday that he cried really bad and I just hug him tightly and keep telling him that "Daddy is with you, don't worry..., etc". That few minutes was really priceless as I felt so much being his father and reassuring him that I'll protect him always... Just a few of their recent pictures. Its getting difficult to take pictures of them as they really move a lot and refuse to look at the camera nowadays...

Joshua's swollen hands
1 week passed without me realising. I don't seems to achieved much during the whole month. One consolation is that I had went swimming twice and gym twice over these 2 August weeks. I confirmed my fitness level to be low but at least I'm trying to improve now.
There are a lot of new physical development of the babies like Josiah is able to sit upright much longer now and able to play his toys while sitting. Joshua start to show sign of hogging things for himself and like taking things away from Josiah when they are playing together. Luckily Josiah is not fighting back as yet and he is happy sharing things with Joshua still.
Joshua's sleeping is better now but he seems to be drinking about 15% lesser milk recently. Maybe its because he takes a little bit more solid as compared to Josiah. Joshua enjoyed taking porridge during his afternoon solid feed. Josiah is as usual, still difficult to feed.
We went to see Doctor Sim at Elias on Saturday because we noticed that Joshua's hands and back was swollen and looks like rash. We were worried if it was caused by the new food that we introduced to him and afraid that it could be allergy. Thank God its not. Dr Sim told us that it was likely caused by mosquitoes bites. The rash gets worse actually today with each bite area swell like blister and Joshua kept scratching till he started to bleed. Its difficult to apply ointment on his hand because he kept licking his fingers and when we put mitten, he will pull it out immediately. The worst is that he kept scratching as it seems itchy to him. Our best chance to apply ointment is when he is sleeping.
Well... Just pray hard it will recover soon.

The SG50 Jubilee Weekend
We celebrated our 50th Year Jubilee Year National Day this weekend. Friday 7th August was declared a National Holiday and as National Day falls on 9th August, Monday 10th August shall also be a holiday. Its a 4 days Holidays for Singapore.
I spent some time with the kids on Friday even though I went for some meetings but I spent a good time with them on Saturday and Sunday.
We first went for the Black Knight Air-show. Our original intention is to go Marina Barrage but ended up at trapped near the Marina South Pier due to the traffic jam. So lucky that we can still grab a nice view at where we were trapped.
We then went Changi Airport for lunch and so happened met up Sally and Wee Liang there. They helped us take care of babies as we have a nice penang lunch.
The babies were really sleepy after this and slept at 4pm till 6pm. They woke up again for play and drink before sleeping at 9pm again till 7am the next day. What a long sleep they have.
For Sunday, we went to Marina Bay Sands Promenade for a walk and food carnival. Its the first time babies are taking MRT too. Its really crowded that day as there are many events in the Marina Bay area.
We were out from 11am and home at 3:30pm. The babies were really tired and they slept till 5:15pm before we proceeded to Sister's place to watch the National Day Parade on TV. Mum prepared nice food for us too. They are the centre of attention for the dinner and were rotated to be carried by everyone. Its peaceful time for me and Felin as we watched the NDP while enjoying the nice good food.
What an enjoyable weekend indeed. I don't think I'll be going out tomorrow. Most likely going to stay home to do some work and rest.

Our failed trip to Malaysia
Its the 2nd time we were told to return home at the Singapore customs within a month. The first was when Felin brought her old passport and the second time was because Felin's re-entry permit expired. We left for Malaysia at 1:30am on Friday and eventually came back home and slept at nearly 4am. Ours and the babies routine were totally messed up on Saturday due to the midnight travelling. We were extremely tired because the babies still woke up at 6am that day. I'm not sure whether this caused the babies to be very cranky on both Saturday and Sunday.
Because of the babies' crankiness, Felin and I had an argument on Sunday. I told her that we are carrying the babies too much and resulting that they will cry whenever we put them to cot without companionship. I really wish that my babies can play by themselves by the cot and do not need our attention 24-7. She said that its me and my parents to be the ones who keep carrying them and we are spoiling them. I don't agree with her statement and was unhappy. I refused to carry the babies for that Sunday afternoon and evening and ended up the babies crying more. I'll put the babies straight to the cot after feeding and do not even talked to them. Obviously the babies cry right after I put them to cot after feeding. We didn't talk for half a day and we just do our own stuffs. Things were settled by next morning. The feeling isn't good to see the babies keep crying as it gives me the feeling that I am a bad parent by not caring about them when they need the comfort.
Put the argument aside, we still have a pleasant weekend. We brought Joshua for dinner as Felin and I enjoyed Sushi Express at Whitesand. The aunties there really like Joshua and say that he is very handsome. We then went NTUC to buy fruits where Joshua really enjoyed seeing all the interesting things and people there..
The next day, Josiah went to church with us and he really sat through the full service without making a fuss. He just kept looking around and even smiles at other babies in the Church. He is so kuai and lovable.
After lunch, its lesson time for the babies with the fruits and they really enjoyed playing with the fruits. I kept telling them to pick the fruit I asked for but they kept picking me the wrong fruits. Lol...
The babies at 6m22d now...
